Lindsay Smith, MD

Dr. Lindsay Smith is a board certified Family Medicine Physician. She received her medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in 2008 and completed residency at the UAB Family Medicine program in Huntsville in 2011. Upon graduating from residency, she started practicing in Hartselle initially as an employed physician through Decatur Morgan Hospital at the Hartselle Family Practice clinic.  In 2023, she and her Nurse Practitioner, Juliana Clark, opened Gladstone Primary Care, a privately owned practice. Dr. Smith has been providing primary care for all ages since 2011 in Hartselle, Alabama.  

She has greatly enjoyed working in Hartselle, becoming rooted into the community through the care that she provides to all her of her patients. Dr. Smith's training has allowed her the ability to treat acute and chronic conditions in addition to pediatrics, women's health, simple dermatological skin procedures, and preventive care.  She also enjoys and encourages coordination of care with other subspecialist to ensure thorough evaluations and treatment plans are being provided to all of the patient's at Gladstone Primary Care.  She and her husband both grew up in Huntsville and have strong ties to North Alabama. She is a fitness enthusiast, who enjoys mountain biking, running, yoga and Pilates.

Juliana Clark is an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who has worked in the outpatient setting with Dr. Smith since 2014. She began her nursing career in CVICU in 2005 and has worked in multiple intensive care settings throughout her career. She went back to school and graduated with her Nurse Practitioner degree in 2013. She subsequently joined Decatur Morgan Hospital  working for a year as a hospitalist NP until joining Dr. Smith in 2014. Juliana then returned to school earning her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in December 2022.

Treating patients ages 18 and older, Juliana enjoys building relationships with patients and their families. In addition to providing preventative medicine and treating acute and chronic health problems.  Juliana offers travel medicine services to those traveling abroad, providing pre-travel counseling, prescriptions such as malaria medications, and vaccinations such as yellow fever, Japanese Encephalitis and typhoid.

Juliana is a Decatur native and is married with 3 children. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and getting lost in a good book!
